Welcome to Imago Education

resources for cambridgeSo . . . you have chosen to use the Cambridge Assessment International Education (Cambridge International) system for your upper secondary schooling. Cambridge International is an excellent choice; used well, it will give you a solid grounding in your chosen subjects and also provide you with a world-renowned qualification. Your challenge now is to set up an effective study programme that will enable you to acquire the knowledge and skills demanded for your various subjects.

This is where Imago Education can help you. We offer online resources and guided self-study programmes which are designed to maximize your learning in the most cost-effective way possible, thus empowering you to excel in your Cambridge International studies. Our approach is as follows:

  • We make use of existing content where possible. For most subjects there are excellent text books available, and we do not seek to duplicate them.
  • In the case of AS-level mathematics, we provide videos that explain the concepts required for the particular lesson. Although there are videos available on the Internet for most topics, we want to provide a coherent set of lessons that aim specifically at the Cambridge International curriculum. Our videos are correlated with the chosen text book and with the prescribed exercises. Having the explanations in video form means that you can watch them over and over until you understand the concepts. The videos won't tire of repeating themselves!
  • We divide the course material into manageable lessons. This saves you from being overwhelmed by a mass of content and enables you to plan an effective study programme. We also offer guidance on how to plan your studies.
  • The lessons are designed to help you to become active in the learning process. This is perhaps the most important aspect of any study programme. Knowledge and understanding cannot be downloaded, installed, or transmitted; they must be constructed actively in the same way that an athlete can only develop his muscles by exercising his body. Simply reading a book or listening to a teacher explaining a topic is not enough to develop the intellectual skills required for the Cambridge International curricula.

Although our programmes do not include personal tutoring, they will enable you to make more effective use of tutors if you need to. Instead of the tutor having to spend time explaining the bulk of the content, or working out a study programme, he/she can focus on particular questions that you might have after your initial exposure to the subject material.

For more information, please consult the subject introductions under the course material menu items. There are also free lessons which will give you a good idea of how our programmes work.
