Cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide. Up until now, in this chapter, we have seen how life is dependent on mitosis and how mitosis is regulated and controlled. In this lesson, we will see how uncontrolled mitosis can destroy the body. Read the World Health Organization's fact file on cancer.
